Rens Teunissen van Manen claims prestigious World Cup victory in Val di Sole
The KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team enjoyed an absolute highlight this past weekend. Dutch rising star Rens Teunissen van Manen took first place in the U23 World Cup race in Val di Sole. There was also an outstanding performance from Julian Schelb, finishing 6th in the elite category. U23 riders Sasha Hudyma (6th) and Tom Schellekens (8th), along with Kelsey Urban (10th), all secured top‑10 results!
Teunissen van Manen is truly unstoppable right now. The Dutch XCC champion also finished 2nd in the XCO World Cup race in Nové Město, placing him among the top riders of his generation. He narrowly lost the XCC to Swiss Finn Treudler, but took the title in the Cross‑Country Olympic. With podium placings from Hudyma and Schellekens, it became a historic team day.

A collective success
Schelb also delivered a brilliant performance. He rode at the front for most of the elite race and finished just one minute behind winner Martin Vidaurre Kossmann. That even surpassed Urban’s strong 10th place in the women’s race. Martins Blums (37th) and Lia Schrievers (39th) also completed the race.
The KMC Ridley MTB Racing Team riders now have a short recovery window. The next World Cup round will take place from 9 to 13 July in Pal Arinsal, Andorra. At the end of the summer, the season's main event awaits: the World Championships in Valais, Switzerland.

Its 100mm rear suspension is designed with performance in mind, a remote lock out lets you sprint with direct power transfer to the rear wheel. The agile handlebars and steep seat angle guarantee razor-sharp handling and power transfer. Thanks to the longer wheelbase and slacker headtube angle, you won't lose time on descents either.
